Artist's Comments

Bush came to Portland in August for a campaign fundraiser in the UP(University of Portland)... requesting participants pay $2,000 for food... 3,000 people showed up to make sure he knew he was NOT welcome in our town.

Probably the most creative sign I saw all day.

I think I know this "symbol"... :sarcasm:

I think its a little extreme... what happened in world war 2 was nothing as drastic... the us isn't putting minorities in camps to be tourchered... bush is TRYING to help america be a better place... just in a different way... that sign is insulting... if that person doesn't like the american government why doesn't he just fucking leave!
:iconmasterwill:
Wow that signs real clever, very good pic:D

Unfortunately some countries who don't want the American Government there have to put up with it anyways willingly or unwillingly even if the US government is trying to "help". Bush forgets that other societies can rebuild their own governments without help from someone who believes that left in "foreigners" hands the whole country would go to hell.....even though it's a foreign country he's sticking his nose in. And maybe the person who made that sign didn't vote for Bush, and in that case I would argue [s]he has a right to oppose Bush if [s]he didn't want him in government in the first place.

It's called freedom of speech. If you want it, like your freedom of speech, and endulge in it (as you've demonstrated) put up with what other people have to say. If you don't like what other people have to say, turn the other cheek and ignore it. Complaining is useless because people can just turn the other cheek and ignore you, and most likely will since people don't like whining. It's nice that there are opposing views about things (such as yours) but complaining and letting your emotions get the best of you lowers the stated opinion in many eyes.

But hey, it's called the freedom of speech. Do what you want.

The US, however, has killed 14,000 INNOCENT Iraqi....and without reason. Keep that in mind.

Not everyone who wants to leave the US can. I want to. Can't though. If everyone who hated the US left, what would happen to the US? It would benefit. No one would shout out loud about the fucked up parts of the US. Everyone would just "OK" the murder of 14,000 people.
